Fishy Websites and How to Identify Them

https://www.nukepills.com/ During class I introduced a questionable website. In this blog, I would like to present the dubious points of this website and my own opinion on it. Nukepills.com, based in North Carolina, USA, is a mail order site for radiation protection pharmaceuticals and supplements. The company primarily sells **Potassium Iodide (commonly known as KI)**, a product used to protect the thyroid gland from radioactive iodine, to individuals, governments, and corporations. They have also sold the product to Japan. There are three points that this website is dubious and dangerous. ①The fact that the product is very dangerous but is discounted, as if it were on sale. It is like a shein ,a cheap online store. ②There is no official approval has been granted by the government. ③There is a lack of detailed clarification regarding the ingredients of the product. I found this website very suspicious for the above three reasons. I thought it was necessary to choose carefully be...

Voices Unheard – Giving a Voice to the Silenced

Our organization focuses on raising awareness of gender-based violence—especially the forms that are less visible and empowering women, particularly those in their teens and twenties, to speak up and seek help. Our Mission Voices Unheard is dedicated to promoting women's rights and safety through outreach, education, and accessible consultation services. Our specific goals are: To increase access to our consultation services by 30% annually through online platforms and local outreach. To boost the number of consultations, especially from younger women, by 25% each year by 2028. We believe that change starts with awareness. That’s why we plan to use shortn form videos on TikTok and Instagram Reels to highlight real life examples of violence, especially the subtle or emotional kinds that are often overlooked. We also aim to work with influencers on social media, whose voices can amplify ours and help reach wider audiences. Offline, we’ll host on-campus events, set up posters a...

Using the word cloud, we surveyed NGOs that are working to solve this problem

Image
https://www.unwomen.org/en/about-us/about-un-women Here are the existing organizations that we have found most helpful in creating our new NGO. UN Women works to promote the empowerment of women and the elimination of violence around the world. In this case, we used WorldCloud to create the image.  I also used the corpus which my professor recommended to find out how the word is used. I learned that the term is often used in connection with violence. Because of the sensitive nature of the content, I also learned that much of it is covered in academic articles and in the news. Results of the survey on woman right's and domestic violence

Image
In this article, I would like to introduce and analyze three questions'  results in detail, which were particularly impressive.   First, the question " Have you ever experienced psychological violence? "  By this question, almost two thirds of all responders answered Yes.    This result indicates that the percentage of people who have experiences psychological violence is higher than the percentage of people who are physically violented. When asked specifically from whom they experienced psychological violence, many said from family members, including fathers and mothers.    This survey convinced us that many people have experienced psychological violence, but that this fact is hidden from the public. We have to try to improve this situation.    Next question is... "Have you ever heard if the phrase "economic violence"?"      To this question, many(80 % of all responders) said they did not know about economic violence. In...
